GET LOST! is a GPS and compass-enabled adventure workbook that leads you through a “disorienteering” adventure of your own creation as you lose your way using tools you would normally use to find your way. GET LOST! has been presented at the Abandon Normal Devices festival in the Grizedale, UK forest and in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. Each time a small booklet, customized pencil, and magnetic compass were used.
Art for Airports (live skype-feed from Portland, Oregon USA) is a collection of autonomous impromptu WiFi networks transforming airports into creative spaces! The Art for Airports wireless router connects airport passengers directly to artists and performances. Airports are a cultural black hole. Airports blast you with radio waves, poke you, strip you of your clothes, then leave you to bad coffee, expensive shopping, and boredom. As a result everyone escapes to their virtual worlds via smartphone and/or computer. There is no better reason for art. More information at http://artforairports.net/
Art for Airports has connected to over 3000 people in thirteen different airports across North and South America. Each time the engagement is different. Sometimes it takes the form of an online gallery of work. Sometimes it is live interactive chat sessions with airport passengers. Each time a customized wireless router and notebook computer were used.
